The super express railway line connecting Tangier in the north and Kenitra, further south, is expected to open in the second half of 2018, making Morocco the first African nation to have a high speed railway. Morocco is a country of 35 million but its power capacity is that of Hungary’s. This is being improved through green energy. Recently the world’s biggest solar power plant was opened in the country, which will be followed by many other projects that produce renewable energy. If the possibilities of solar power were utilised, Morocco could provide cheap clean energy not only for itself but for whole Europe. The country is open to European technologies and experiences,
Abdelkarim Amara energy minister says. Hungarian businesses will have the chance to get to know the growing Moroccan market in May and June this year. During the first part of the 5-day programme, Hungarian professionals will take part in business and cultural events in Casablanca, then they will continue the tour in Dakhla, where they attend a showcase organised by the local agricultural leadership.
